Image of the Month - AUGUST 2010

Robert geranium, Kastbjerg, Denmark

This year I have only made a few images of flowers, but last Sunday I finally found peace in mind to make images with "flower-power". I have always been fascinated by photographing plants and flowers; using macro lenses opened a whole new world of opportunities when I started making images of plants.

I like to use large apertures to soften the background and isolate the main object - the flower. I never get tired of looking at images like this, they inspire me to make new ones - sadly the season is almost over.
