Thaw in Black and White

After six weeks or more with freezing temperatures, the winter is finally surrendering to the weather fronts from West and the coming week there will be positive temperatures day and night.

Today I was out in the afternoon with my camera, the weather was grey, wet and misty, I made a few shots and I converted one of them into a black and white image to express the dull weather.

The January thaw might hold on for a week or two, I think and hope the winter will return, I simply need new winter images! One positive thing I heard today, was the birds - you could hear spring in their songs.
