Sand drift at Råbjerg Mile - Day 5, part 14

The images in this collection are made on Day 5, it was a rather extreme day with a strong westerly wind and heavy sand drift at the great dune. In its natural state, dune vegetation provides an aerodynamic "cover" which deflects the wind over the dunes. This minimises wind attack in dune areas and acts to trap any wind blown sand.
