Many years ago, a forester gave this dying beech tree a mark, and the tree would surely have been cut down, but somehow the tree was forgotten. Today the dead tree gives life to millions of insects, it's a pantry for the birds of the forest. The slow death of the tree is a good thing, because it create biodiversity in the forest and I like to see the tree as a sculpture.
