Stone pattern on the beach

Stones form random patterns on the beach, a wonderful assortment of sand and stones with different sizes, shapes, colours and patterns. The variety is mostly easily discovered where the stones are wet - although there is a distinct risk of getting your feet wet when viewing and photographing them right on the edge near the breaking waves. This image is made on a windy day in June this year, I saw the colours of the stones on the sandy beach and I just had to stop to photograph this beautiful pattern.
