Theme: Midwinter in Lapland - Part 3

Day 2 - Hiking without snowshoes!
The temperature on the second day was not that chilly as the day of arrival. We were out most of the afternoon and it was nice being out in the fresh air, after having spend more than a day travelling by boat and train. We did not need snowshoes to get around, the snow was rock solid and hard by the extreme temperatures and the amount of snow was very low. We hiked out to Kårsafallet a frozen waterfall, a beautiful place in the autumn, but frozen in time in the wintertime. In the evening I photographed the bright moonlight on the cloudy sky.
