The sunset today was quite spectacular with dramatic clouds and vivid colours. Most of the day has been grey, but late in the afternoon the edge of the weather-front was just overhead and it was lit up by the setting sun and looked like a fountain of light. This sunset easily ranks (in my book) as the most spectacular sunset so far this year. The colours and clouds were incredible, a wonder to behold. As a photographer I am always desiring clouds like those in these images, that fan out from where the sun dipped below the horizon. Clouds like this don't seem to happen very often, but when they do it's a magical sight.
