Image of the Month - DECEMBER 2012

Winter sunset, Langå egeskov, Gudenåen, Denmark

The first two weeks of December, was a time you just had to be out to experience the Arctic air and frosty landscape. Snow and beautiful winter light was the photography menu for those weeks here in Denmark.

Another great motif was frost, when Mother Nature hits us with a sudden blast of cold, at least in this part of the country, she sometimes softens the blow with an indescribably beautiful phenomenon called "hoar frost." Some call it frozen dew, or white frost.
