Image of the Month - JUNE 2013

Water Lily, Kastbjerg, Denmark

You don't have to travel to the end of the world to photograph flowers, actually you can find them just outside your window. Plant pictures don’t have to be taken in exotic locations to be interesting, this one is photographed in our garden pond after a heavy rain shower; I decided to process the image in monochrome to enhance the forms and shapes of the water-drops and leafs, and the beautiful design of the white flower is further enhanced and I think the final image is strong and appealing, despite that I photographed it in the garden.
