A few weeks ago, I photographed this Cumulonimbus cloud near my home. Tremendous amounts of energy are released by the condensation of water vapour within a cumulonimbus, lightning and heavy rainfall are expected when these clouds appear. I saw the cloud on the eastern sky from my home and quickly fitted my wide lens and rushed out the door and speeded my car a few kilometers out of town and managed to get a few shots before the drama was over. The late evening light added drama to the scene, but the experience was something to remember.
