Image of the Month - JANUARY 2014

Winter Painting, Assentoft, Denmark

During this month we almost didn't see the sun at all, only 17 hours of sun were recorded on a national basis and January became the darkest month in 45 years. We have not had a less sunny month since 1969, but King frost came and we almost had two weeks with snow and a biting cold easterly wind. I was not inspired at all, no magic light only white, grey and black; I tried to get the best out of it and worked with a camera shaking technique to create this winter painting.
